River View, Deck Build
We built a large deck for our clients who have a beautiful vintage cabin and backyard view of the Platte River in Bailey, CO. Building a deck so near the river presents some special challenges. Based on the client's deck design and the high water table, we installed a floating deck that does not attach to the house and moves with the seasonal frost heave. Outbuilding/Chicken Coop
Our client's homesteading lifestyle benefits by design & builds that are customized, highly functional, solidly built and can be modified over time, as needs change. This outbuilding will begin its life as a warm and safe chicken coop but may be used in the future as a garden tool/planting shed or a garden pavilion. Protecting livestock in Colorado is challenging with our strong winds, extreme temperature changes, ice damming/snow loads, as well as effective barriers to deter natural predators. Soundproof Drummer's Studio
We collaborated with our clients to build a soundproof drummer's studio and separate sound booth for vocals & guitars to create a unique workspace for their rockin' band, G3P. The studio both quietens and separates the jam sessions from the rest of the home. We built the structures and provided modifications to the main room as needed for the installation; our clients installed the soundproofing materials.
